Chuck Sohaskey Column - September 2006 (How Tweet It Is)

The theme for this month’s best races shirts is Birds. For some reason birds are quite popular on race shirts. Perhaps it is because the feeling of running and flying are so similar. No, that is probably not it. You never see a sweaty bird do you? There are no Turkey Trot shirts here. I will probably be doing that in the near future. So if you have a nice one come talk to me. Thanks to Todd Fanady and Emmett Rahl for some of these.

A great course and a great shirt.

The Humboldt Redwoods Marathon always has the best shirts and medals.

Any race with a buzzard for a mascot has to be fun.

There were actually roadrunners along this course. I don’t remember what kind of shoes they were wearing though.
