Marathon Pasta Party – The annual Marathon Pasta Party and Award Ceremony will be held on Friday, October 14th from 6:30 – 10:30pm, at the Pacific Condominiums Clubhouse (850 Ocean Blvd., Long Beach). A flyer with directions will be available at the next couple Wednesday and Saturday runs. PLEASE RSVP TO TODD ROSE ASAP, so we can get a head count.
Safety! Special thanks to everyone who has been running safe and helping others run safe. Now that it is definitely dark when we finish the Wednesday runs, make sure you wear light-colored clothing and something reflective. A reflective vest, reflective band, or blinking light can be purchased at a local sporting goods store for under $15.
Upcoming Election – One more plug for the election. If you are interested in helping make the club better, the commitment is not so huge – 4 meetings a year. Talk to Todd Rose for more information.
Membership – We are still taking new memberships. If you have been running regularly with us for a while, getting the benefits of the club, consider joining and becoming an official member. See Emmett or Todd for more information.
Marathon Volunteering – Long Beach Marathon is still looking for volunteers. Even if you missed their informational meetings, they would still appreciate your help. Call the Marathon office at (562) 728-8829 for more details. After all, it is the Long Beach marathon and we are a Long Beach club.
