Looking for LB Marathon stories. For next month's newsletter, we'd like to hear from you! Tell us about your experiences at this year's Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K, or Bike Tour. Tam will compile stories for the November newsletter. Get ready to share! Thank You!

Training for Surf City (HB) Marathon. Gavin McKiernan is organizing a group to do Sunday (long) training runs leading up to the Surf City Marathon in February. He is trying to run a 3:15 marathon (Boston Qualifying) and using the FIRST training program. All are welcome to participate, regardless of pace. If interested, contact Gavin.

End of Year Board Meeting October 28th. Please join us for the final AREC Board Meeting of 2009. Besides exciting items like finalizing the budget, we will be accepting nominations for Board positions (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer). We are also looking for people to serve on the various committees which help with New Membership, Social Activities, Fundraising and Fun Runs.

There is no better time to pitch ideas which can make AREC a better club. No reasonable suggestion will be unheard. The meeting will start at approximately 7:45 in the back room at Buster's (and you can still get your food and beer).

If you can't attend the meeting, but have a suggestion, please e-mail Tam Premsrirath or Emmett Rahl at their e-mail addresses. Thanks.
