Elections. . Election ballots are now available. Please vote in the election. An online ballot was sent out and paper copies will be available at the various weekly runs. You can e-mail your choices to Todd Rose or myself.
Clif Samples. Please enjoy the Clif samples. Todd and I will have mini Clif Bars and Clif Shot available on Wednesdays, and Electrolyte Mix and Cilf Bloks on Saturdays at the Trail Runs.
Board Meeting. Our last Board meeting of the Year was held in November and it was one of our most well-attended (Thanks, Limerick’s?). We talked about the upcoming elections and our needs besides the primary board positions. If you are willing to help out in any way (planning pub crawls, out of town events/runs, helping with training groups), please let us know!
Holiday Party The AREC Holiday party will be Saturday, December 15 from 3pm to 8pm at Deb & Kate’s house (5464 Oleta, Long Beach). Soft drinks and beer will be provided; bring an appetizer to share. There will also be an optional gift exchange “game.” Bring a wrapped gift valued at $10 or less, if you would like to participate.
Fun Race Ideas. . Tam P. is trying to race money for a school trip to the East Coast. One suggestion was to have a race to benefit it. She mentioned something like a relay or a fun evening event. I think the funds need to be collected by May, so sooner is better than later. MY idea is for a Sweetheart’s Relay to be held on February 12th (a Tuesday). Anyone else have a better idea?
T-Shirt Bonus Points We decided (since not everyone loves tank tops) to allow any shirt with a LARGE (see the tank top) AREC logo to get credit for the 5 bonus points. If you feel I have missed out on a race since September, please let me know.
