Emmett Rahl Column - September 2003 (Club Notes)

Fall is almost upon us, if you can believe it or not. As it gets darker, think about wearing light and/or reflective clothing. When daylight saving hits next month, I would advise getting reflective clothing, like a vest or anklet, available at most sporting goods stores for under $20.

Volunteers!! AREC and the LB Marathon need volunteers to help out. Part of our commitment as the Official Training Club of the Marathon is providing volunteers. Even if you are racing on October 13th, there are plenty of ways to help out. Please add your information to the sign-in sheet on Wednesday or Sunday.

Pasta Party. Todd & Tracy Rose have graciously volunteered their house for our pre-race pasta / awards party. AREC will provide pasta, sauces and sodas. We are still getting all the details (like amassing some door prizes), but the event will be the evening of October 10th.
