Well, Labor Day has come and gone, and around here that pretty much signifies the end of summer. Yeah, technically, summer ends on the 21st of September, but just try telling that to the millions of school kids who began school this week. And, if you want to get even more technical, we won’t have to don the reflective vests until Daylight Savings ends October 29th.
It’s been really exciting to see all of you coming out week after week, so don’t use the waning summer heat as an excuse to stay home. Bring a friend and we’ll have a great run and a great time afterwards carousing and quaffing...water.
On one final note, I know it seems like we just had a board meeting, but sometime in the next month or so, we will be having our first board meeting of the new season, the first board meeting with our newly elected board. In addition, we will be having our AWARDS ceremony. I encourage all of you to attend the meeting and hope that you want, as I do, to make it OUR club.
