I’ve been running for… 22 years.
I’ve been with AREC for… 5-6 years.
My running experience with AREC has been… fantastic!
<I run with AREC because… it’s a fun way to get in shape and it’s a nice, positive change from all the negativity that goes on in the world. People in the club are the greatest.
I run best because… it’s the best exercise. It’s nice to be outdoors and it’s the best cardio workout I’ve ever done. It’s nice to feed off the energy of a positive group of people.
When I’m not running… I like to eat, which is one of the reasons I run.
My life/sport philosophy… if you put your best effort in, you will always be a champion.
My favorite spot to be active is… at the beach.
My pre-race meal is… meat lasagna and a banana split, 31 Flavors.
After a race, I treat myself to… one week of easy running.
My favorite race is… the Sand Challenge.
My goal is… to stay in shape and to motivate others to keep in good shape.
When I run… what inspires me is to think about people who can’t run because of disabilities. I think people who wish they could run but they’re not able to because of different reasons.
I’m inspired by… less fortunate people who never give up.
My running hero is… all of the runners in AREC are my running heroes.
My best training tip… work hard and try to make it fun.
The best advice I ever got was… to always think positively.
I want to improve in… everything. I’m always trying to improve in everything.
I have learned… that you can actually look forward to getting older.
I love… peanut butter chocolate ice cream.
I hate… anything negative.
I do marathons because… it’s a bigger challenge. The training runs are a lot more fun.
Final Thoughts… we’re all lucky to have such a special group of people and a positive place to come and run. Hopefully, we keep growing.
