Lots of races were run in June by AREC members, especially the Wrigley River Run, Rock’n’Roll Marathon, and the Summer Solstice Watermelon Run. Those who ran the small local races will tell you that it’s great to get a medal (even if there are only 3 people in your division)!
Highlights:
Mistii Comeau qualified for the Boston Marathon (and PR’ed!)
Brian Conboy won the Wrigley River Run 10K (and a new pair of Shoes!)
9 new people joined the Century Club (that’s if you run 100 miles in races during the AREC Racing Year (September through August)).
